Eckman Construction has started demolition of the former OPUS building on South Main Street in Manchester to make way for a new housing development.
The new two-story apartment building, located at 168-194 South Main Street, will be comprised of twenty one-bedroom apartments, common spaces and full laundry amenities. The Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is overseeing the development of this facility, marking the fourth time the organization has teamed with Eckman Construction on a multi-family housing project. CMK Architects, P.A. of Manchester is providing architectural services.
The apartment building will also offer on-site parking for residents. Sitework and demolition are currently underway and work is scheduled to last until late spring 2016.
