Eckman Construction successfully delivered a two-phase design-build project for Silver Stream Properties, LLC, resulting in a 34,800 square-foot commercial building. The first phase involved the ground-up construction of a 24,800 square-foot steel-framed structure featuring three tenant spaces and two second-floor mezzanines. 1 Recognizing the potential for future expansion, Eckman incorporated flexibility into the design, allowing for a seamless 10,000 square-foot addition in the second phase. This expansion further enhanced the building’s functionality while maintaining its architectural integrity.
The project incorporated several sustainable features, demonstrating Eckman’s commitment to environmentally conscious construction. These green features included energy-efficient garage doors and windows, an insulated metal panel exterior, and a radiant slab heating system for enhanced energy efficiency. The building was also designed to accommodate the future installation of rooftop photovoltaic panels, further enhancing its sustainability.
