Project Description

Delivery: Design-Build Services

Owner: Elliot Health System

Architect: E4H Architecture

Eckman Construction recently completed an occupied renovation at the Elliot at River’s Edge medical facility in Manchester, New Hampshire. Partnering with E4H Architecture, we provided design-build services for Elliot Health System, transforming existing space within the occupied hospital to accommodate a cutting-edge MRI Suite. This project involved the installation of a 3T Siemens VERIO MRI machine, renowned for its advanced imaging capabilities and patient-centric design. The 70cm open bore of this machine significantly enhances comfort, particularly for patients who may experience claustrophobia. With a generous 163cm length and a 550-pound weight limit, the machine accommodates a diverse range of patients.

The installation of this sophisticated equipment required meticulous planning and execution. The MRI machine was carefully lifted through a second-story window using a crane, a testament to our team’s expertise in navigating logistical challenges within an operational healthcare setting. The renovated space features a recessed slab to minimize vibrations and incorporates a comprehensive system of shielding to ensure optimal image quality. This project exemplifies Eckman Construction’s commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare facilities that utilize the latest technologies.
