Eckman successfully completed a 16,500-square-foot addition and renovation project for the Hampton Falls School District (SAU 21). The project, delivered under a design-build contract with Lavallee Brensinger Architects, involved a phased approach to minimize disruption to the school’s academic schedule. A new two-story addition featuring music and classroom spaces was constructed during the school year, followed by summer renovations to the existing building. These summer renovations included the installation of a new gymnasium floor and the conversion of existing classrooms into a modern cafeteria. Through meticulous planning and a collaborative approach with the school district, Eckman ensured the project was completed on schedule for the start of the 2019-2020 school year, providing the Lincoln Akerman Elementary School with enhanced educational facilities that better serve the needs of its students and staff.
This project exemplifies Eckman’s expertise in managing occupied educational projects within demanding timelines. The successful implementation of a phased construction approach demonstrated a commitment to minimizing disruption to the school’s daily operations. By working closely with Lavallee Brensinger Architects and the Hampton Falls School District, Eckman delivered a high-quality project that provides the community with modern and functional educational spaces, enhancing the learning environment for students and staff.
