Project Description
When you see in the news that “the state emergency operations center has been activated” this is where all the action happens. Eckman built this 54,000 square-foot center for the State of NH, where offices for the State Police, Fire Marshal, Department of Transportation and State Emergency Preparedness are located.
The main building has three stories, and 37-foot high foundation walls. Eckman also constructed a stand-alone prefabricated metal garage for emergency response vehicles, with associated parking.
The Emergency Operations Center features state-of-the-art security access & surveillance equipment, detection & alarm systems, and fire suppression systems. Extra security measures, such as special function windows, were utilized to further protect the building during an emergency situation.
