Eckman Construction successfully delivered a state-of-the-art 55,000 square foot athletic facility for Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. This two-story building, designed by Banwell Architects, features a 12,800 square foot gymnasium with maple hardwood floors, a retractable indoor turf system, and a unique curtain sectioning system for versatile use. Additionally, the facility boasts a fitness and training room, a VIP lounge with seating for 500, locker rooms, and a four-lane, 200-meter turned indoor track. The building’s construction incorporated a mix of metal panel, metal sandwich panel, and brick veneer cladding. Extensive site work included the installation of a sewer force main, walking paths, parking areas, and complete landscaping, all while prioritizing environmental protection for the nearby Lake Winnipesaukee.
