Eckman Construction, in partnership with Banwell Architects, successfully delivered a 12,000 square-foot two-story dining commons addition for the Derryfield School. This project followed the successful completion of the school’s Athletic & Wellness Center in 2019, where Eckman also provided design-build services.
The new dining commons features an inviting and open-concept design, accommodating over 300 students. Highlights include:
- Spacious Dining Area: A generously sized dining area with a vaulted ceiling created by exposed heavy timber trusses.
- Modern Culinary Facilities: A state-of-the-art commercial kitchen equipped with a diverse range of cooking equipment, including a pizza oven.
- Efficient Food Service: An open servery with multiple food stations for efficient and convenient meal service.
- Abundant Natural Light: Strategic placement of dormer windows and a cupola ensures ample natural light throughout the space.
