Eckman Construction successfully delivered the West End Yards redevelopment project for Torrington Properties in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This landmark transformation of the former Frank Jones Center encompassed 12 acres and involved the construction of three distinct buildings. Building-A and Building-B, designed by PCA, comprised two multifamily apartment buildings offering a total of 250 residential units. Building-C, designed by Harriman Associates, housed a vibrant commercial hub featuring a diverse mix of restaurants, shops, wellness centers, and office spaces. The project also incorporated significant community green space, seamlessly integrating the development into the surrounding neighborhood.

Eckman Construction provided comprehensive preconstruction and construction management services throughout the project lifecycle. Sitework commenced in the spring of 2020, and despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the project was completed on schedule and within budget. The successful delivery of West End Yards exemplifies Eckman Construction’s expertise in complex mixed-use developments, their commitment to client satisfaction, and their ability to navigate unforeseen circumstances while maintaining project goals.
