MANCHESTER, NH – Eckman Construction recently completed renovations to the Elliot at River’s Edge medical facility in Manchester, New Hampshire. In partnership with E4H Architecture, Eckman provided design-build services for Elliot Health System, renovating existing space within the occupied hospital to accommodate a new state-of-the-art MRI Suite.
The new suite features a 3T Siemens VERIO MRI machine, offering advanced imaging capabilities. This 70cm open bore MRI machine is designed to enhance patient comfort, particularly for those who may experience claustrophobia. With a 163cm length and 550-pound weight limit, the machine can accommodate a wide range of patients.
The MRI machine was carefully installed, requiring a crane to lift it through a second-story window due to its size. The renovated space includes a recessed slab for vibration isolation and incorporates multiple shielding systems to ensure optimal image quality.
The MRI Suite at Elliot at River’s Edge is now open 7 days a week, operating from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays and 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM on weekends. The suite is staffed by a highly experienced team of radiologists and technologists dedicated to providing patients with high-quality care and a comfortable imaging experience.
